Everything you need to know about Balance Pilates, our classes, and memberships.
Getting Started
Do I need to bring my own equipment?
No! We provide all the equipment you'll need, including reformers, chairs, props, and mats. Just bring yourself, grippy socks, and a positive attitude. We do sell grip socks at the studio if you forget yours.
How early should I arrive for my first class?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class. This gives you time to complete any necessary paperwork, meet your instructor, and get familiar with the studio. For subsequent classes, arriving 5-10 minutes early is perfect.
I'm new to Pilates. Is Balance right for me?
Absolutely! Our classes are designed for all fitness levels, from complete beginners to seasoned athletes. Our instructors provide modifications and progressions to meet you exactly where you are. Your first class includes an orientation to the equipment and foundational movements.
What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, form-fitting athletic wear that allows you to move freely. We recommend grippy socks for stability and safety. Avoid loose clothing that might get caught in the equipment. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated!
Classes & Scheduling
What's the maximum class size?
We intentionally keep class sizes small, with a maximum of 14 participants. This allows our instructors to provide personalized attention, corrections, and modifications so everyone gets the most out of their workout.
How do I book a class?
Once we're open, you can book classes through our online portal, mobile app, or by calling the studio. Members receive priority booking access. We recommend booking in advance as classes can fill up quickly!
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 12 hours notice to cancel a class reservation without penalty. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a loss of class credit. We understand life happens—if you have an emergency, please contact us and we'll work with you.
How long are classes?
Most group classes are 50 minutes. Private sessions can be scheduled for 50 minutes or 90 minutes depending on your needs and goals.
What types of classes do you offer?
We offer Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Pilates + Cardio fusion classes, and private sessions. Each class type is designed to challenge different aspects of your fitness while maintaining the core principles of Pilates. Check out our Classes page for detailed descriptions.

Health & Safety
Is Pilates safe during pregnancy?
With your doctor's approval, Pilates is wonderful during pregnancy! We offer prenatal modifications in our classes and can recommend specific class times. Please notify your instructor that you're pregnant so they can provide appropriate modifications throughout each trimester.
How clean is your studio?
Studio cleanliness is our top priority. We thoroughly clean and sanitize all equipment between classes, maintain excellent air quality with HVAC filtration, and deep clean the entire facility daily. We provide sanitizing wipes at every station for your peace of mind.
I have an injury. Can I still take classes?
Pilates is excellent for injury rehabilitation and prevention! Please let your instructor know about any injuries or conditions before class. They'll provide modifications to work around your limitations while still giving you an effective workout. For serious injuries, we recommend starting with private sessions.
