We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in these situations:
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
Information about injuries, pregnancy, or physical conditions is sensitive. We use it only to deliver safe, appropriate classes and to administer your membership, we limit access to staff who need it, and we do not use it for advertising. Sharing this information is always voluntary, though we may not be able to tailor your experience without it. Some laws give health-related data extra protections, and where they apply we will handle it accordingly.
If you give us your mobile number and consent, we may send texts about bookings, reminders, and promotions. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message. We will still send essential account and transaction messages.
We and our partners use cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tools to run the Services, remember your settings, measure performance, and deliver relevant ads. You can manage cookies through your browser settings or our cookie preferences tool, and limit mobile advertising identifiers in your device settings. If your browser sends a recognized opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control, we will honor it where required by law.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Residents of California and other states with comprehensive privacy laws (including, for example, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and Oregon) may have the following rights, subject to legal exceptions:
Residents of Washington, Nevada, and other states with consumer health data laws may also have rights over health-related information we collect, including the right to withdraw consent and request deletion.
Categories of personal information we collect. In the past 12 months we have collected identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), commercial information (purchases, memberships, bookings), financial information (payment details handled by our processors), internet and device activity, approximate and precise geolocation (with permission), audio/visual data (security camera footage, profile photos), and sensitive personal information (account login credentials, payment card details, and health or fitness information you choose to provide). We use and disclose these categories for the purposes in Sections 2 and 3. We do not sell personal information for money, but sharing data with advertising partners through cookies may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some state laws.
How to make a request. Email info@balancepilates.com, call 440-290-1325, or use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our website footer. To opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, use that link or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we will honor. We will verify your identity before acting on most requests, and you may use an authorized agent. We aim to respond within 45 days and may extend by an additional 45 days where the law allows. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact your state attorney general if you are unsatisfied.
California "Shine the Light." California residents may ask once per year for details about personal information we disclose to third parties for their direct marketing. Contact us using the details in Section 14.
Do Not Track. Our Services do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but we do honor Global Privacy Control as described above.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16 without the consent required by law. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. Minors who take part in any youth programs may only do so with a parent or guardian's consent.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and protect your login details.
We operate in the United States and process and store your information here. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and handled in the United States.
The Services may link to other websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
